Civil War: The Initiative Artwork Charity Auction

I picked-up an email from Top Cow this morning announcing that Marc Silvestri has kindly made available a page of his original artwork to be auctioned on eBay on behalf of charity.

The page in question, featuring Iron Man, is from Civil War: The Initiative and, if the winning bidder wishes, Mr Silvestri will sign the artwork. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the dog-rescue charity
New Leash On Life.

Explaining their support for the charity Bridget and Marc Silvestri wrote:

In Loving Memory of our Doberman, Ronald, who went to heaven in Dec 2008, we are donating an original page of Marc's art, from Civil War, Issue 1 pg 23 featuring Ironman to be auctioned off for charity by one of our favorite Charities, New Leash On Life. This Dog rescue organization is where we adopted our Doberman, Ronald, 15 years ago. We had him & our Bulldog Alice (also now in heaven) trained there. NLOL is near and dear to ours hearts for personal reasons as well as the fact that they have helped hundreds of dogs find loving permanent homes. If you have ever wanted to own a piece of Marc's art, now is your chance.

The auction closes on 7 December 2009, 14:44:34 (PST).

A great opportunity to help a worthy cause and to own a superb piece of original art.

footnote
I posted a couple of weeks ago about the auction of an original piece of Catwoman artwork by Alex Ross for the benefit of the Saved Whiskers Rescue Organization. The auction raised US$3550 for the charity that rescues abused, abandoned and homeless cats and kittens.
