It seems like a long time since the previous issue of Witchblade was published - in fact I read and reviewed it about six weeks ago.
Tomorrow sees the release of the penultimate issue - #129 - in the War of the Witchblades story arc and I'm really looking forward to reading it: albeit, as I have monthly shipping from my comic shop I won't get it for another couple of weeks or so.
Every war must have a victor. The Balance must be restored. With the lines drawn firmly in the sand and both Sara Pezzini and Dani Baptiste carrying wounds from their battle, the stakes have never been this high. [Source]
Once again, we have a choice of covers with this Top Cow release: cover A by regular artist Stjepan Sejic with cover B from guest contributor John Tyler Christopher. If you haven't done so already you might be interested to read a feature from Comic Book Resources in which Christopher talks at length about the creative process - from initial sketch to finished cover - as well as touching on some of the logistical challenges involved with producing the cover.
It's felt a little quiet over the last month or so in terms of new releases - I suppose with a couple of big conventions taking place in that time it's felt a bit like a 'mid season break' (to use a sporting metaphor) but with this title, Daredevil #500 and the Titanium Rain double issue, to mention just a few, shipping over the next couple of weeks things are really picking up again.
