Cardiff International Comic Expo 2011

Following on from my last post Fantasy Events UK have started to release details of the first ever Cardiff International Comic Expo which is to be held on Saturday 26 February 2011 at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff, Wales.

The event, which is sponsored by Forbidden Planet International with the support of COM.X and Incognito Comics, sees the usual Comic Expo mix of Convention EXpo EXclusives, new title launches, special guests, a full programme of talks and events and more!

Already announced, and in association with Doctor Who Adventures magazine, will be a first convention appearance from artist John Ross, along with Mike Collins (writer and artist for Doctor Who magazine and BBC Books) and Tony Lee (Doctor Who writer at IDW).

Also scheduled to appear are Charles Adlard (The Walking Dead), Neil Edwards (Fantastic Four/Avengers), Dylan Teague (Judge Dredd/2000AD), John McCrea (The Boys), and a host of other top writers and artists.

Featuring a Manga Spotlight and a Small Press Showcase with the usual quality of dealers and publishers - including Forbidden Planet International, Krackers Game Store and Markosia - that we've come to expect from a Fantasy Events UK events.

The Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff is another fantastic venue to hold the Expo guaranteeing 4 star facilities and 4 star service from the staff - they are even offering a special room rate to anyone attending the event: details on the Cardiff International Comic Expo 2011 website.

Tickets for the event are just £5 with under 12s free with a day ticket holder - all advance ticket holders will receive a money off voucher for 10thology and the chance to win original art plus the first 50 advance tickets will also receive a free Markosia variant cover issue. Forbidden Planet will be supplying FREE goodie bags (whilst stocks last), there will be a FREE golden age comic book with thanks to the COMIC MAN - the 1955 Captain Gallant Heinz US Promo Comic with art from Marvel Legend Don Heck.
