Cyberforce/Hunter Killer

This Wednesday (30/09) sees publication of the second issue of Top Cow's Cyberforce/Hunter Killer - the 'Summer's Hottest Event Series'. Over at Comixology.com there are a number of preview pages available to view, including Kenneth Rocaforts retailer incentive sketch cover.

In
my review of the first issue back at the beginning of August I described it as "an excellent set up issue" as over the twenty story pages we learnt about the characters that make up the two 'teams' - Cyberforce and Hunter-Killer - and a little about what brought them together".

The first issue suggests that we can expect a series with a challenging, complex storyline, great character development with attractive, distinctive, artwork from creators Mark Waid and Kenneth Rocafort.

Ahead of publication of issue #2 Top Cow have released the entire first issue via the
Top Cow Reader and if you missed it last month this is a great chance to read the first issue - for free! Credit to Top Cow for the volume and variety of the material that they make available across various platforms giving us a chance to 'try before we buy' - I've benefited from this approach recently with The Darkness/Pitt #1 being made available through Comixology.com and I'm sure there will be readers who, for whatever reason, didn't pick up Cyberforce/Hunter Killer #1 that will now, having read it for free on line, will pick up the remaining issues.

Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer #2, written by Mark Waid, art by Kenneth Rocafort, covers by Kenneth Rocafort & Stjepan Sejic

First blood has been drawn and the action heats up in Part 2 of Top Cow’s biggest summer event to date!

After a surprise strike by a team of Hunter-Killers on Cyberforce’s headquarters, members of both teams have been bloodied. When Ellis arrives with a surprising revelation, the two teams must decide if they can trust each other enough to take out a common foe?

The team of writer and Hunter-Killer co-creator Mark Waid (Amazing Spider-Man, Irredeemable) and artist Kenneth Rocafort (Astonishing Tales, Madame Mirage) bring you a crossover with consequences. Featuring a cover by series artist Rocafort as well as a variant cover by Stjepan Sejic (Witchblade).

Published by Top Cow Productions, full colour, 32 pages, $2.99
